Ayurvedic Medicine compared to Allopathic Medicine

My Current State(allopathy):
Well, after having severe allergies for the longest of times, I was finally left in an acceptable state under the pretense of second generation antihistamines (Loratadine 5mg, twice a day[bd]), Systemic Decongestants (120mg Pseudoephedrine Extended Release, twice a day[bd]), and Systemic Steroids (20mg Prednisolone, alternate day dosage in the mornings). THAT’S A LOTTA’ DRUGS! Without them, I’m stuck with a runny nose, or at the very least, unable to breath clearly; That leaves one exhausted all the time and unable to do any work, ie., Sleep Apnea. With the drugs, we have to consider the potential long term side effects, most importantly of the steroids as well as plausible systemic cardiovascular effects of pseudoephedrine. I wonder, am I setting myself up at the age of 27 to end up, assuredly, with a hip fracture at 60?

Experiment:
Well, today, I came across an alternative therapy, which I begin implementing immediately. Tomorrow morning, instead of having my regular steroid dose(and decongestant\anti-histamine), I will try ayurvedic based pharmacopeia; It is Septilin from The Himalaya Drug Company. What next?
Well, let me see how I feel; I’d love to be free from having to take steroids and the others! If this panacea is really what it is claimed to be, then I should experience complete relief as good as(and possibly better) than my current therapy from my allergies without having to take any other drug. Based on my evaluation, I have a further four patients lined up for this wonderful treatment, ie., 1 asthmatic, 1 allergic, 1 lower respiratory tract infection, and 1 upper respiratory tract infection. On this evaluation, I will be in a better position to form an opinion for recommending this product, and potentially, the other ayurvedic products by The Himalaya Drug Company.

Additionally, it is interesting to note Septilin’s potential in immunomodulation, and a role in diseases such as atheroscerosis, diabetes, cancers, connective tissue disorders(like Rheumatoid Arthritis, Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE), and others), and even acute glomerulonephritis. Can we use this drug to lower blood pressure? My findings can open the doors up to using this product and Himalaya’s other ayurvedic products for multitudes of disease states like those just mentioned; That too, with few side effects!
